"Bringing people together through group art  projects is my favorite way to witness community and unity in action. I am inspired when people unite through a common artistic pursuit for the purpose of beauty, self expression, compassion and healing".

Edison  School Labyrinth and Mosaic

Honoring the final wish of beloved teacher, Jill Bailey, for a labyrinth of peace at Edison Elementary to help children find a peaceful way to calm themselves,  the Edison Community built a labyrinth on school property. I was asked to create the center mosaic, symbolizing the equanimity of a blue heron, and using words of peace.  This has  become a place where people can find peace, safety and calm during the day.
