Bringing people together through group art  projects is my favorite way to witness community and unity in action. I am inspired when people unite through a common artistic pursuit for the purpose of beauty, self expression, compassion and healing.

The Butterfly Project

Bringing together teen girls from Skagit Valley and Syrian refugees from Azraq Jordan together through poetry and ceramics. Their collaboration finished with an exhibition at the Anacortes Arts Festival.

Día del Niño Project

Skagit libraries supported this art project  honoring the Mexican children of Skagit Valley.  Inspired by the local "Solecitos" folklóric dancers, this 5' painting hangs in the Skagit libraries. Handpainted tile border created by community member, and framing built by local craftsman, Cal Buck.
